Truck Fire Evacuates Rockaway Township's Copeland Middle School

A Rockaway Township middle school was evacuated Tuesday morning after a delivery truck caught fire in the loading dock area outside.

The first-floor fire alarm at Copeland Middle School went off around 10:25 a.m. after smoke entered the custodial room -- evacuating students and staff, Principal Alfonso Gonnella said in an email.

The Lake Shore Drive building was cleared for re-entry around 11 a.m.
